VinoChallenge International 2008

VinoChallenge International 2008 will carry forward a 27-year tradition as the first international wine competition in the United States and one whose directors are dedicated to evaluating each wine on its own merits while minimizing the “administrivia” required of judges.  Over the last two decades, we have evolved to meet the changing needs of our participating wineries in the worldwide environment.  Today, as one of the largest international wine competitions held outside of Europe, we are leading the way with Web-based global communication, panel-specific computer-produced judging materials, and prompt reporting of results both to the wineries and to our network of over 400 print media contacts.  We believe that our traditional dedication to detail and our close relationship with you, combined with technology that allows the VinoChallenge staff and the judges to focus on the wines, is a unique, unbeatable union.

This world-class competition will take place on September 3 through 10, 2008 and will bring together wines from over 30 countries and a judging panel that includes every stratum of the wine and food trades plus exemplary palates from the private sector.  This year promises to be a unique opportunity for the wine trade and enthusiast, alike. 

Getting the word out will become the hallmark of VinoChallenge International 2008. 

·         Results will be released on our Web site immediately after they have been audited.

·         Press releases are now being sent to over four hundred of the most influential newspapers and magazines worldwide.

·         This announcement is to give you plenty of advance notice of our dates so that you will be able to make plans to enter. 

·         To continue improving our e-mail records (a task begun in 2001); therefore, we ask you to help us update our files by supplying the name of a contact person at your winery, together with an e-mail address and a phone number.

·         To let you know that Wine Entry Forms are available on this Web site and our traditional entry forms will be mailed on request.  You will again be able to complete and submit your Wine Entry Form online at this website  www.VinoChallenge.com/International  and pay online using VISA, Master Card, Discover or American Express with PayPal.

·         Please note that the deadline for entry forms and to receive wine is August 22, 2008.
